Lag BaOmer BBQ

Join us together with Chabad of Radlett for a joint Lag BaOmer celebration on Thursday evening, 15 May at 6:45pm, taking place in Radlett.

We’ll gather for a warm and joyful evening with a delicious BBQ, salads, beer and cider, a lively kumzitz, and a glowing bonfire. It’s a chance to come together as two communities for a beautiful night of unity, song, and celebration.vv

Lag BaOmer is a festive day on the Jewish calendar. The Talmud describes how, during the period of Sefirat HaOmer (the days between Passover and Shavuot), a plague was visited on Rabbi Akiva’s 24,000 students.

On the thirty-third day of the Omer count, the students stopped dying, which became the festival of Lag BaOmer.

Many communities light bonfires on the night of Lag BaOmer to commemorate the spiritual revelation that occurred on this day. To read more about Lag BaOmer Click Here
