ABOUT BRICKET WOOD

Bricket Wood is an ‘Island Community’ surrounded by green fields. The Bricket Wood area is recognized to have some of the most important wildlife sites in Hertfordshire. In the past fifty years the pressure for housing and the increased accessibility of the area, due to the building of the M1 and M25 motorways. Bricket Wood has metamorphosed from a scattered rural community into a large and vibrant village.

 

CHABAD IN BRICKET WOOD

Chabad Lubavitch of Bricket Wood was established in 2020 in response to the demand of the fast growing Jewish community of Bricket Wood and the surrounding villages.  

 

The Jewish community of Bricket Wood and the surrounding villages has doubled in the past 10 years and is only growing (over 100 families moved to Bricket Wood in the past 5 years). The demand for building a Jewish community has been long overdue. Chabad Lubavitch of Bricket Wood will be dedicated to building the Jewish community through a dazzling array of programmes and services to serve the spiritual and physical needs of all Jews, from all walks of life, with unconditional love and acceptance of every single Jew by living with the words "Love your fellow as yourself".

We aim to provide a welcoming open door to Jewish people from all walks of life, no matter their background or affiliation.

Goal Two

We aim to make Judaism accessible, exciting and relevant to every Jew by empowering them to personally take ownership of their Judaism.

We aim to care for and support the welfare of Jewish people with devotion and affection - no matter the time, place or need.
